Hello, and welcome to History of Magic! My name is Taylor (mcaries), and I'm currently the professor of this class. Unlike the class actually taught at Hogwarts, I want to make it as exciting as possible. Hopefully, we can make this class work and have a good term.
- To participate in this class, you must first be a member of castlehogwarts. Not a member yet? Go get sorted at ch_sorting! - Be polite to all of the other students; if there's an issue, please e-mail me about it. I'll make sure that it's resolved. - When posting an assignment, please put your House in the subject line. It's just easier that way for me to tally up the points. However, if it tickles your fancy, feel free to put it at the end of your comment as well. - There's an introduction post in the community for all new students. So, if you're just starting in this class, please fill out the form in that post. That way, I can put you on the roster, and you can actually earn points for your work.
- Unlike real school, the assignments in this class aren't mandatory. However, this does not mean that you're free to join the community and only do one assignment. Do your best on as many as you can, or I will kick you out of the class for inactivity. If you're having problems or feel a little overwhelmed by real life, let me know as soon as possible. - Usually, I'll assign a regular assignment with a due date exactly two weeks from it. Then, I may or may not assign an extra credit assignment due around the same time, or, in some cases, earlier. - For every week that an assignment is late, I'll deduct ten points from your final grade. After three weeks, however, I won't accept it.

I check my e-mail obsessively, and I'm constantly on AIM. So, you shouldn't have to worry about not getting a reply quickly. Feel free to e-mail, IM me, or leave a comment on my Friends Only post at any time. Please tell me who you are first, though, so I don't think random people are IMing me with their problems.
